The chalet is located nearby the slopes of a Swiss ski resort.
We developed our design within the tight boundaries of the local building regulations, focusing on minimalizing the design of the building, a “less is more” philosophy applied to the local vernacular tradition.
The client requested to configure a generous amount of space for the large number of books the family owns, we therefore created a staircase which accommodates a full height shelves structure. We called it the “Stairway to Wisdom”.
The building was completed in 2019.
